DETAILS OF FIGURES AND CUT SECTIONS TO              MAKE  BIRTHDAY CARDS

This work represents whimsical figures of the signs of the Zodiac. Each figure is made in fine wool felt, yarn, cardboard, airbrush, pastels and then is photographed. What attracted me to this theme was the vision of the ancient people who, looking at the beautiful stars illuminating the dark sky, gave names to many of the celestial bodies and constellations – the same names which we are still using today. This poster is dedicated to these ancient civilizations.

I tried to focus on images that are so cheerful, colorful and entertaining, that can be used in children's rooms. Each horizontal row represents the signs of fire, earth, air and water. The squares with figures have gloss finish, while the background is mat. It reads below the figures with black luster letters on the black mat background: "Cloth Sculpture Zodiac".

Other uses or the poster:

In addition, these figures from the poster could be cut out and used to make surprisingly luxurious birthday cards.

Cut and fold in half a piece of thicker paper in the selected color and glue one of the images to it. The ribbon is optional, but it contributes to the overall look. To attach the ribbon, make two holes in the vertical direction near the left end of the card with a sharp tool by piercing the paper as it is folded. Trimmed in this way, the cards would fit in any

6 "x 9" envelope. Some figure may require bigger size envelope. If black paper is used, it is better to write the text with a metallic silver or gold marker.
